Currently, within the framework of the investment project “Development of the “Yoshlik I” deposit” and the II stage of expansion of the production of non-ferrous and precious metals, the project “Construction of Copper concentrator plant-4 (CCP-4) based on the deposits of JSC “Almalyk MMC” is being implemented.
In order to assess the environmental impact of this project, public hearings were held in Akhangaran district on November 9 of this year.
The event was attended by representatives of the Inspectorate for Ecology, Environmental protection and climate change of the Tashkent region, responsible persons and specialists of the Akhangaran district khokimiyat and the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex.
Acting first deputy director of the project office for the Implementation of the Investment project “Development of the “Yoshlik I” Deposit” Aziz Muratov made a presentation of the new Copper concentrator plant No. 4.
During the public discussion, a presentation was given on the environmental impact of the new plant, as well as on the technologies used there.
- On October 15 of this year, during the visit of the Head of our state Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex, the construction of Copper concentrator plant No. 4 was launched. As a result of the implementation of this project, the volume of production of non-ferrous and precious metals will increase and more than 3 thousand new jobs will be created. In the future, the youth of our city will work at this plant. Every year, the plant will process 60 million tons of ore and produce more than 800 thousand tons of copper concentrate. The demand for copper on the world market is growing day by day. It is worth noting that the plant will use modern, environmentally friendly and cost-effective technologies, - said Aziz Muratov.
In addition, those present received handouts regarding the project. The responsible persons also provided full information about the role of the project in the development of district.
