In order to form the personnel reserve and meet the needs for highly qualified specialists, AMMC is establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with universities in our country and abroad.

On May 4, the delegation from AJOU University from South Korea, which included the Dean of the Higher School of International Studies, Professor Byong Yun Chang, and the Principal of this school, Diana Kang, visited AMMC.

She was accompanied by leading specialists of the plant, headed by acting Deputy Chairman of the Board for Digitalization of JSC “Almalyk MMC” Ravshan Maksumov.

During the visit, representatives of Ajou University visited the observation platforms of the “Kalmakyr” quarry, the “Yoshlik I” mine, at the construction site of copper processing plant No. 3, where they became acquainted with the technology of open-pit mining and enrichment of porphyry copper ores, and also learned about the prospects for the development of AMMC, implementing the major investment project that will significantly increase the volume and processing of minerals, improve the environmental situation in the region and open new jobs.

The delegation also visited the AMMC Museum of Labor Glory, the exhibits of which reflect historical milestones in the development of the country’s flagship of non-ferrous metallurgy.

On the same day, as part of the working visit program, the delegation of Ajou University visited the Almalyk branch of NUST “MISIS”, where they got acquainted with the conditions of study for students of one of the most prestigious universities in the world, training the specialists for the mining and metallurgical industry of our country, as well as the teachers of Ajou University talked with NUST “MISIS” students in English and conducted a kind of master class.

As Byung-Kwan Kim, professor of the Graduate School of International Studies at AJOU University, said, the main purpose of the trip of the AJOU University delegation from the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan was to visit companies where the graduates of this university work. On May 2, at the Higher School of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a meeting was held between the leadership of AJOU University and graduates, managers and specialists of state-owned companies and enterprises. In this regard, on May 4, a delegation from AJOU University arrived at AMMC and, having familiarized with the activities of the plant, were very impressed by the scale of work carried out here, with the process of digitalization of production. The good news is that university graduates also make their contribution to the common activity.

Such cooperation between the plant and leading universities in the world contributes to the formation of a personnel reserve and satisfaction of the needs for highly qualified specialists of AMMC.
