A warehouse for storage of nitric and sulfuric acid, ammonia water and soda ash was recently put into operation after reconstruction at the Scientific and Production Association for the Production of Rare Metals and Hard Alloys of AMMC.
The reconstruction works were carried out by specialists from the SPA, the Department of Specialized Repair Works and the “Olmalikmetallurgkurilish” Trust of AMMC
In the course of reconstruction, acid-resistant concrete pallets based on liquid glass were manufactured for ammonia water, nitric and sulfuric acid tanks. Two new pumping stations were built, a 60-meter long trestle and over 450 meters of pipelines were installed to unload acids and ammonia water from railway tank cars to a storage and distribution warehouse for hydrometallurgical shops. A hangar with inlet exhaust ventilation and a scrubber for ammonia vapor recovery at the ammonia water storage warehouse was installed. Storage tanks for ammonia water with the volume of 400 cubic meters, nitric acid with the volume of 300 cubic meters and sulfuric acid with the volume of 40 cubic meters were moved and installed.
Reconstruction was carried out this year during 3 months, 2 billion soums were spent on these works.
