Uzbekistan continues to expand the scope of international cooperation in various fields of activity, including in the mining and metallurgical industry.
These days, the British Trade Mission for the mining industry is on a working visit to Uzbekistan, which includes the Director of Trade and Investment, the trade advisers from the British Embassy, representatives of large companies engaged in the development of complex process solutions and projects, supply of equipment and materials, including with installation supervision, commissioning supervision, training of customer personnel to work with the supplied equipment, service.
On 15 February, the British delegation visited the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex. The Chairman of the Board of Almalyk MMC JSC Abdulla Khursanov and the leading specialists of the plant’s divisions spoke about the activities of the flagship of non-ferrous metallurgy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Also during the conversation, the results achieved in the course of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UK were noted.
Representatives of UK companies discussed potential areas of joint activity with the plant's management.
During the working visit, the guests visited the observation decks of the Kalmakyr mine and the copper concentration plant-3 under construction, where AMMC specialists spoke in detail about the progress of the investment project “Development of the Yoshlik I deposit”.
As a result of the negotiations, the management of Almalyk MMC JSC and representatives of the delegation from the UK discussed the plant’s potential areas of joint activity and prospects for fruitful cooperation.
