In connection with the Day of Mining and Metallurgical Industry Employees of Uzbekistan, a fishing competition was organized by the initiative of the Council of Veterans of the Mining and Metallurgical Industry of Uzbekistan.

Teams consisting of 10 participants took part in the competition held at the initiative of the "Fishing Club" organized by the The Council of Veterans under "Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex" JSC, "Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Complex" JSC and "Ozmetkombinat" JSC.

All favorable conditions were created for veteran fishermen at the competition organized at the "Golden Fish" fishery. According to the final results of the interesting competition, the members of the Council of Veterans of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Complex won the first place, the participants of the Council of Veterans of JSC "Uzmetkombinat" won the second place, and the team of the Council of Veterans of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex won the third place.

Certificates, trophies and souvenirs were awarded to the winners and prize-winners for having a rest at the fishing lake.

Viktor Soy, a labor veteran of the Central Repair Mechanics Plant of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex was also awarded with "The most skillful fisherman" nomination.
