On May 3, the Metallurg Palace of Culture hosted a seminar on the topic "The impact of climate change on occupational safety and health", dedicated to World Labor Protection Day.
The event was attended by the chief physician of the clinic of the Scientific Research Institute of Sanitary-Hygienic and Occupational Diseases of the Ministry of Health, the Doctor of Medicine, Professor Mukaddas Khamrakulova, the Head of the Department of Food Hygiene and laboratory of the Scientific Research Institute of Sanitary-Hygienic and Occupational Diseases of the Ministry of Health, the Doctor of Medicine, Professor Anatoly Khudayberganov, the Chief Engineer of “Almalyk MMC” JSC Sergey Larionov, the Deputy OHSE Chief Engineer Shukhrat Juraev, the Head of the Almalyk Mining and Technical Inspection Khikmatillo Maysupov, the Chairman of the Council of the AMMC Workers' Union Abdurashid Khaidarov, the heads of structural divisions responsible for labor protection and safety
During the seminar, it was told about the work on occupational safety and health carried out at the plant, and information was provided on measures aimed at preventing accidents at work.
Saviya Tagirova, the Head of the Department of Social Facilities, told about the competition in the direction of "Labor protection through the eyes of children" on the theme "Dad, Mom, come home healthy from work!", which was held among pupils of preschool educational organizations of AMMC.
Reports on the following topics were also heard: "Prevention of occupational diseases of people working in harmful conditions", "The importance of special preventive nutrition for workers working under the influence of harmful and unfavorable working conditions, and proposals aimed at improving it", "Strengthening control in the field of industrial safety at AMMC enterprises".
During the seminar, the chief physician of the medical and sanitary unit of the AMMC, Abdujabbor Tukhtabaev, analyzed the cases of morbidity of the combine's employees and informed the meeting participants about the measures taken to prevent them.
The event also featured the best videos for conducting primary and periodic briefings, electrical safety, fire safety, and first aid, prepared by specialists of the AMMC units.
Also during the seminar, a group of AMMC specialists and winners of competitions dedicated to the World Labor Protection Day were rewarded with certificates of honor, letters of thanks and valuable gifts.
