According to the International Labor Organization, about 340 million workplace accidents and 160 million victims of occupational diseases are reported worldwide each year; about 2.7 million men and women die each year as a result of workplace accidents or work-related diseases-an average of 6,500 people each day.  For the reason that one-third of workers are unable to work for more than four days as a result of injury great damage is caused to the economy.

Each year half of workplace accidents occur in agriculture, an industry that employs nearly half of the world’s workforce.

Performances by amateur art groups of the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture gave a special mood to the audience. The audience also liked the demonstration (defile) of special uniforms of the plant’s employees.
