Representatives of “KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH” bank visited AMMC

Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex continues to expand the facets of international cooperation. Successful implementation of the megaproject “Yoshlik I field development” requires investments for production development, purchase of modern equipment, personnel training and many other things.

On November 7, the management of JSC “Almalyk MMC”  met with representatives of the bank “KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH” from Germany, which won the mandate to organize the financing of the new project.

For information: “KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH” is a wholly owned subsidiary of KfW and has been operating as a legally independent bank since 2008, regulated by the German Banking Act. It is focused on international project and export finance. The headquarters are located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

As it is known, investments in the development of the enterprise contribute to the modernization of the material and technical base, strengthen the production potential. Conditions are created to increase output and sales of products. In addition, investment is the key to enterprise innovation.

Cooperation was established between JSC “Almalyk MMC” and KfW IPEX-Bank in the field of attraction of financing for expansion of copper smelting complex within the framework of realization of investment project “Development of “Yoshlik I” deposit” for the amount of 2.55 billion US dollars.

After the discussion with the management of JSC “Almalyk MMC”, the Bank representatives visited the facilities of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, including observation of open-pit development of copper-molybdenum ores at Kalmakyr mine and construction of Copper Concentrator-3, which is being built within the framework of the investment project “Development of “Yoshlik I” deposit”.
