Today, at the Palace of Culture “Metallurg”, the solemn ceremony was held to present diplomas to graduates of the Almalyk Branch of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution “National Technological Research University” who finished their study in the specialty of Mining.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Komiljon Karimov, the Vice-Rector of National University of Science and Technology "MISIS" Vadim Petrov, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Almalyk MMC JSC for Personnel and Social Issues Sadi Shermatov, the Head of Almalyk Town Administration Kabil Khamdamov, university students and their parents.
During the event, congratulations, warm and sincere wishes to the graduates, and words of gratitude to the management and teachers were heard.
Then came the most awaited moment – 74 graduates were solemnly awarded the diplomas confirming their hard work and dedication to scientific knowledge. It is noteworthy that diplomas in this specialty are awarded in Uzbekistan for the first time in a quarter of a century.
The artistic part of the event featured a performance by the chamber orchestra of folk instruments “Sogdiana”. And the classical music was accompanied by dances performed by the folk dance ensemble “Edelweiss”. The festive atmosphere was also created by the performances of the group “Sado” and the songs of the famous Uzbek pop artist Tahir Sadykov.
Two students of the branch were awarded certificates of the Presidential Scholarship and the Islam Karimov Scholarship.
In addition, teachers of the branch were also recognized during the event. They were presented with certificates of honor from the Rector of the National Technological Research University "MISiS" Alevtina Chernikova.
