The Central Repair and Mechanical Plant (CRMP) of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) is actively implementing projects aimed at replacement of imported goods with products manufactured using domestic raw materials and domestic capabilities.
In 2025, the plant’s team produced goods worth 266 billion UZ Soums, exceeding the forecast by 106.1%.
Currently, the foundry, forging and welding, and mechanical assembly shops are manufacturing a complete set of equipment for the new concentrator, which is being built on the premises of Copper Concentrator Plant No. 2. Its design capacity will be processing 5 million tons of ore per year.
According to Saifiddin Pardaboev, Head of the Forge and Welding Shop, three mill drums are currently being manufactured for the new plant. Furthermore, the vehicle and special equipment repair shop produces over 20 types of ore conveyors. Other departments manufacture spiral classifiers, ball mills, hydrocyclones, inertial screens, centrifugal pumps, pneumatic-mechanical flotation machines, as well as components and spare parts for crushing equipment.
It is important to emphasize that all process units for the new complex will be manufactured at the Central Repair and Mechanical Plant. This will significantly reduce import costs and ensure economic benefits for the AMMC, laying the foundation for sustainable development.
For reference: construction is currently ongoing on a new complex at Copper Concentrator-2, designed to process ore from the Yoshlik I deposit. Its capacity will allow for the production of 74,200 tons of concentrate. This will result in increased output of copper cathode, gold, and silver. The project will create 600 new jobs, increase market output, and boost budget revenues.
