Another preventive event was held among the work collectives of the Specialized Repair Work Department and Copper concentrator plant-3.

The meeting was devoted to the discussion of the legislation on conflict of interest, issues of combating corruption, preventing offenses, as well as the rules for access to the territory of AMMC and internal order at the enterprise's facilities.

The event was attended by the Head of the Specialized repair work department Khusniddin Sulaimanov, deputy head of Copper concentrator plant-2 for the regime and safety of inventory items Iskandar Shamsiev, deputy director of Copper Processing Plant-3 for similar issues Farkhod Nazarov, as well as senior investigator of the Investigative Section of the Department of Internal Affairs at the AMMC of the Tashkent region Main Directorate of Internal Affairs Aziz Rasuliy.

During the meeting, the specialists answered in detail the questions of interest to the workers. Those present were reminded of the need to comply with internal regulations and improve legal literacy in everyday activities.

— Active work is underway in Uzbekistan to effectively implement the Law "On Conflict of Interest". Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 14 November 2024 No. 758 approved a list of state organizations whose employees may fall under the exceptions to the rules restricting joint work of close relatives, — noted H. Sulaymonov. — The list includes employees of industrial enterprises, infrastructure, including railways, oil and gas and other industries.

In accordance with the Labor Code, the possibility of joint service in one state organization between close and related persons is also regulated.

This law has become an important legal support for the implementation of large investment projects and ensuring the sustainable development of the country. It serves as a tool for identifying and eliminating situations that may interfere with the conscientious performance of official duties.

— A conflict of interest is a situation in which personal interests can influence official decisions, — explained I. Shamsidinov. — The law is aimed at identifying, disclosing and preventing such cases. It regulates the rights and obligations of employees of state organizations, helps prevent corruption, prevent the illegal appropriation of public funds, and ensures transparency in labor relations and public procurement.
