As previously reported, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, visited this country on May 2-3 this year.

During the visit, the leaders of the two countries considered issues of expanding trade, economic, investment and technological cooperation, and identified priority areas for practical cooperation.

As part of the business program of his visit to Germany, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the heads of leading companies and financial institutions of this country.

During the Uzbek-German business forum, a number of new trade, financial and investment agreements were concluded to develop industrial cooperation and expand technological partnerships.

It was about large-scale projects in the fields of "green" energy, metallurgy, water supply, chemical, mining, electrical industry and other areas.

As a logical continuation of partnership relations between the two countries, on June 7 this year, the General Director of the German company MENZEL Elektromotoren GmbH, Matis Menzel, visited the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant.

During the visit, the guest from Germany met with the leadership of the AMMC, during which the parties held talks on establishing cooperation in the industrial sector.

Also, Matis Menzel visited the observation decks of the Kalmakyr mine, the Yoshlik I deposit, and got acquainted with the construction of copper processing plant No. 3. The guest also visited the main workshops and subdivisions of the central repair and mechanical and copper smelting plants, a copper processing plant and an energy repair shop of the power grid management.
