Recently, as part of a workshop on “Institutional development and modern management models in the national qualifications system”, panel discussions were held with the participation of industry councils, the Qualifications Assessment Center of Almalyk MMC JSC and international experts.

During the discussions, the experts reviewed the current state of the qualifications system in Uzbekistan, identified existing problems and possible mechanisms for their solution. Special attention was paid to the institutional role of industry councils, issues of broader involvement of employers in their activities, as well as improving the efficiency of the councils themselves.

During the seminar, international experts presented the best practices of Latvia, Italy and Ireland. Institutional approaches to the formation and development of national qualifications systems in these countries, as well as the results achieved and existing challenges were analyzed.

In addition, participants, divided into small groups, took part in practical sessions where they developed innovative and effective solutions to current problems.

The second day of the seminar was devoted to innovative approaches in the qualifications system and promising areas for its development.

The agenda includes forecasting models of skills that meet the requirements of the labor market, issues of the “green” economy, digital transformation and new professional competencies emerging under the influence of artificial intelligence, as well as global trends in the development of the micro-qualification system.

Special attention was paid to improving the national qualifications system, taking into account the experience of the European Union and the recommendations of the ETF. The experts also discussed the prospects for the implementation of these mechanisms in Uzbekistan, presenting their proposals and initiatives.

Following the results of the seminar, the main conclusions and recommendations on the development of the national qualifications system were stated, certificates were awarded to the participants, and priority areas for further cooperation were identified.
