No plant can operate without electric motors. Currently, these are indispensable devices in almost any manufacturing enterprise.

It is no secret that the electric motor is the "heart" of technical equipment. As a rule, during operation, it is subjected to significant mechanical stress. Because of what, in the engine, as in any part, a malfunction may occur. And an important factor for ensuring the stable operation of the enterprise is the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.

At the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine, the task of repair is entrusted to the workers of the power repair shop of the electrical networks management. Starting from small transformers ending with huge electric motors, the workshop team repairs all electrical equipment existing in the plant's divisions.

In addition, each new electric motor purchased by the plant undergoes rigorous quality and reliability testing in this workshop.

The shop was founded in 1968 and functioned as a private enterprise. On August 1, 1998, he became part of the AMMC. Later, in January 2000, when a new division was created at the plant - the department of electrical networks, one of its three workshops was the power repair workshop.

Currently, the workshop consists of 7 sections: AC electric motor repair section, DC electric motor repair section, high-voltage machine electric motor repair section, traction motor repair section, mechanical turning section, control and measuring station, and power transformer repair section.

185 workers and 11 engineers and technicians work within the workshop. These are representatives of such professions as a winder of elements of electrical machines, an electrician for the repair of electrical machines, an electrician for the repair of switchgear equipment, an electrician for the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment, a tester of electrical machines, apparatus and instruments, an electric and gas welder, a wire drawer, a turner, an electrician for repair of electrical equipment, mechanic-repairman, impregnator of electrical products, etc.

Adkham Yokubov, Deputy Head of the PRC: “In our workshop, we carry out maintenance of devices of various capacities - from 0.1 kW to 7800 kW. We can repair electric motors with higher capacities, as we have everything for this - the necessary equipment, and most importantly, experienced workers and masters of their craft. These are wrappers Gulchira Abdulazizova, Zamira Baizhumanova, Dilorom Gayzibekova, Aliya Nasyrova, Parpiniso Topilova, Muyassar Toshkhuzhaeva. Among men, these are winders Saidmurod Mamatov, Yorkin Tursunov, turner Alijon Tursunov, who has trained more than 80 students during his career.”

Over the past 2021, the workforce of the PRC performed a significant amount of work by repairing the following types of electrical equipment: electric motors with a power of up to 100 kW - 4418 units, with a power of more than 100 kW - 483 units, DC electric motors - 651 units, refrigerators and air conditioners - 232 units, power transformers - 94 pcs, coils of electric devices - 1171 pcs, water, deep and submersible pumps - 48 pcs.
