Currently, the implementation of the second stage of the project for processing man-made waste from the Ingichka tungsten deposit, located in the Samarkand region, is well underway.
On August 29 of this year, an event dedicated to the launch of the second stage of the Ingichka enrichment plant was held, which was attended by the management of the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex and the Uzbek technological metals plant, responsible persons of the Samarkand region khokimiyat and community leaders.
Speakers at the event noted the importance of this plant in the development of the Kattakurgan region and ensuring the well-being of the community residents.
The plant was built based on unused buildings of the Ingichka experimental and technological expedition. The design of the factory was carried out by specialists of the Project department, the installation of process equipment and reconstruction of buildings were carried out by employees of the Olmalikmetallurgkurilish trust.
The factory has 43 units of 9 types of process equipment, chemical and analytical laboratories, an experimental processing shop, and utility buildings.
In accordance with the project, the factory will process more than 12 million tons of man-made waste from the Ingichka deposit. After the launch of the second stage of the factory, the annual extraction of tungsten concentrate from the man-made waste of the deposit will reach 85 tons. It is worth noting that because of the implementation of this project, 120 new jobs were created.
For reference: in 2022, as part of the implementation of the first stage of the project, the production of 100 tons of tungsten concentrate per year was launched. The launch of the processing plant allowed the creation of 82 new jobs. Because of the implementation of the technology for processing tungsten-containing man-made waste in 2023, 100 tons (an average of 28% WO3) of tungsten concentrate were obtained for 5.7 billion UZS. In addition, 27 tons of tungsten bars were produced for export for 1.8 million US dollars. Within the framework of the Localization program, 36 tons of tungsten-containing composite materials were produced for 27.9 billion UZS. These products were sold to Navoi mining and metallurgical complex and Uzmetkombinat joint-stock companies, and delivered to the structural divisions of AMMC. Because of the launch of the second stage of the plant, the volume of tungsten concentrate production will reach 185 tons, in monetary terms - 16.24 billion UZS.
