The other day at the Palace of Culture "Metallurg" a meeting was held between the management of the AMMC and the teaching staff of several higher educational institutions of our country.
These are teachers from the National Research University "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers", the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, as well as the Almalyk branches of the Moscow Scientific Research Technological University "MISiS" and the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov.
Several important issues were discussed on the agenda: efficient use of production capacities in the mining and metallurgical industries; topical issues of corporate taxation; the issue of training the necessary personnel for the subdivisions of JSC “Almalyk MMC”, including the copper concentrating plants MOF-3, MOF-4, MOF-5.
Sadi Shermatov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC “Almalyk MMC” for personnel and social issues, delivered a welcoming speech. Having familiarized the participants of the meeting with the agenda, he expressed his opinion on the training of specialists and the determination of specific areas for the development of cooperation in the creation of the "Academic Council".
Heads and leading specialists of the plant's subdivisions, professors and teachers of higher educational institutions took part in the discussion of the issues on the agenda.
During the meeting, the proposals and comments of the professor of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization A. Altiev and Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek H. Saburov were accepted.
The chief specialists of JSC “Almalyk MMC” were instructed to take part in the development of curricula and programs of higher educational institutions in the areas of education and specialties related to production.
In addition, the Department of Science and Innovation was instructed to create a database of existing scientific problems at the enterprises of JSC “Almalyk MMC”, to assist in the organization of research activities in the divisions of the plant of researchers and masters who prepare dissertations on topics related to the production activities of the AMMC.
Specialists of the Department of Science and Innovation of JSC “Almalyk MMC”, together with the teaching staff of higher educational institutions, are scheduled to develop and put into effect the charter of the Academic Council within 1 month.
The training center of JSC “Almalyk MMC” and the Human Resources Department were instructed to continue training highly qualified and modern-minded personnel with higher education in higher educational institutions in accordance with international educational standards that ensure the integration of science and production; as well as to organize an internship for the teaching staff of higher educational institutions and industrial and undergraduate training of students in the subdivisions of JSC “Almalyk MMC”.
Along with this, it was also instructed to take measures to invite promising university students to work at MOF-3, MOF-4, MOF-5 in order to train the necessary highly qualified personnel for commissioned facilities.
During the meeting, it was decided to develop a draft memorandum of cooperation between JSC “Almalyk MMC” with the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers and the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, taking into account the proposals made.
At the end of the discussion, representatives of higher educational institutions visited the Yoshlik I deposit and the Kalmakyr mine.
