Every year, the third Sunday of May in our country is widely celebrated as the Day of workers of mining and metallurgical industry of Uzbekistan. This year was no exception. This year, the team of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine celebrated their professional holiday with great triumph.

So, on May 19, the large gala concert was held at the AMMC sports complex with the participation of famous and honored artists of the country.

The Chairman of the Board of JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine, Senator Abdulla Khursanov heartily congratulated all the workers of the plant on the holiday: “This year we celebrate our holiday with new results and prospects. Thanks to the initiative of the Head of our state Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the team of the plant is implementing a grandiose project – development of the Yoshlik I field. This is one of the largest historical events for the whole of Uzbekistan. To date, the construction of new railway lines, contact networks and new stations has been completed as part of the megaproject. Infrastructure facilities are also being phased into operation. Selfless work is underway to ensure the launch of the first technological line of the 3^rd copper concentrating plant in September this year. Also, the preparation of a project for the construction of a new metallurgical complex is being accelerated. In parallel, work began on the design of the 4th copper concentrating plant. At the end of 2022, we launched the processing of man-made waste from the Ingichki field in the Samarkand region. Geological exploration is currently underway to fully restore work at the Uch-Kulach polymetallic mine in the Jizzakh region. All these grandiose projects will not only significantly increase output, but also provide jobs for thousands of people. I would like to take this opportunity to express my immense gratitude to the workforce of many thousands, who around the clock, despite the difficult weather conditions, selflessly and conscientiously work on the path of the plant's development and the prosperity of our country.”

Shukrulla Makhmudov, Deputy Head of the Tashkent Region Administration, also congratulated the miners and metallurgists on their professional holiday.

After that, the award ceremony was held for a group of workers of the plant, leaders in production, who worked for many years in the structural divisions of the plant. Thus, 22 employees were awarded badges "Miner's Glory" of various degrees, 40 employees were awarded diplomas of the AMMC, 46 employees were presented with valuable gifts.

As part of the concert program, popular artists of the national stage performed - Anvar Sobirov, Dilmurod Otazhonov, Farrukh Komilov, Sardor Toirov, Rukhshona, whose songs were accompanied by beautiful dances of amateur art groups of the Metallurg Palace of Culture. The performances of Honored Artists of the country Ravshan Komilov, Ilkhom Farmanov, Ilyos Arabov, Mokhichekhra Shomurodova were greeted with thunderous applause.

The famous humorist Valijon Shamsiev gave the guests of the evening unforgettable emotions, positive emotions and good mood.

The event ended with traditional fireworks.
