In the Industrial Railway Transport Department of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, in the framework of the Localization Program, production of 209 types of import-substituting spare parts for railway transport has been established in 2023. As a result, 21.7 billion UZS were saved.

This year, the IRTD team plans to produce 238 types of import-substituting products, achieving cost savings in the amount of 33.6 billion UZS. Currently, the enterprise produces 60% of the spare parts for the 2VS-105 dump truck, the main means of transportation for IRTD. The works are underway to master the production of the upper frame of this dump truck. Until today, only this spare part was purchased abroad for 1 billion UZS. The cost of producing this element of the vehicle is 500 million UZS. Considering the fact that IRTD need for this spare part is 40 pieces per year, mastering its production will allow to save 20 billion UZS annually.

Based on the own capabilities of the management of industrial railway transport, the production of spare parts necessary for the repair of rolling stock is effectively mastered. As a result, a significant reduction in import volumes is achieved.

It is worth noting that the main task – transporting goods on the railway arteries of the plant – is carried out by the IRTD team uninterruptedly and in a timely manner.
