Today, September 5, the Uzbek-Chinese business forum was held in Tashkent, within the framework of which an event was held on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative and a conference on cooperation and exchange between China (Shandong) and Uzbekistan.
The purpose of these events was to promote the joint use of the opportunities of the Belt and Road, further enhance the benefits of cooperation, increase the level of cooperation, and open a new space for mutually beneficial cooperation at the local level between Shandong Province and Uzbekistan.
The management and senior officials of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant JSC also took part in this prestigious event.
During the event, Chairman of the Board of Almalyk MMC JSC Abdulla Khursanov and Deputy General Director of Shandong Gold Group Co., Ltd Wang Lijun signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation.
The document includes such issues as deep processing of copper, zinc and other metals, development of mineral resources, production of new types of products based on copper, zinc, cadmium, molybdenum, tungsten and other rare metals.
According to this document, the task of jointly training talented technical specialists is also defined.
Representatives of this company visited the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant on September 4 of this year and discussed issues of establishing cooperation.
In particular, during the meeting, the issue of obtaining products through deep processing of copper and other precious metals was discussed.
Guests from China also visited the observation decks of the Kalmakyr mine and the Yoshlik I deposit, as well as the copper concentration plant No. 3 under construction.
