The greatness of the country is in the hands of youth
On June 30, young workers of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex will celebrate a national holiday - Youth Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan. On the eve of this date, as part of the Youth Month, thematic events are held in all departments of AMMC.
One of them took place on June 21 at the copper concentrating plant. The Chairman of the Board of Almalyk MMC JSC, Senator Abdulla Khursanov, took part in the meeting with young employees of the structural divisions of the complex. During a conversation with activists of the Youth Union, Abdullah Khursanov reminded the audience about the work that is being carried out in our country in order to systematically support young people in all spheres of life.
In particular, it was noted that during the video conference chaired by the Head of our state, priority tasks in the system of engineering personnel training had been discussed. In today's competitive world, our country, relying on internal resources, is moving along the path of industrial development. It was talked about the need to change the areas and specialties in technical universities in accordance with the requirements of manufacturers, about training in new areas such as “cost engineering, “benchmark engineering”, “reverse engineering”; about creating conditions for scientific research works by young specialists. In addition, based on the “industry-enterprise-university” chain, each university will be assigned an industrial partner. All engineering universities will open departments at their partner enterprises and introduce dual education system. It is worth noting that in this regard, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex is also implementing a number of activities to implement youth policy, form a personnel reserve, and support youth. In particular, in order to continuously improve the skills and train the young people of the complex for senior positions, an Engineering School was established. In addition, the complex cooperates with the Freiberg University of Mining and Technology (Germany). Currently, 2 young specialists of the complex are undergoing doctoral studies. 2 young specialists also continue their doctoral studies at Akita University in Japan. Continuing our work in this direction, we strive to train talented youth of the complex in leading universities in Germany and China. During the event, it was also talked about investment projects being implemented at the complex, where there is a place for talented, versatile youth. The need for knowledge of foreign languages in cooperation with leading global companies was emphasized.
During the meeting, the youth of the complex received answers to their questions and expressed their suggestions and ideas.
One of the pleasant moments of the event was the awarding of the winners of various sports competitions and contests held as part of Youth Month, and the presentation of letters of gratitude to the parents of active young workers.
The opening of the museum of the copper concentration plant was also held as part of the event. The museum presents a model reflecting the process flow of crushing and concentrating ore, as well as information about the history of the development of the copper concentration plant and the people who forged the factory’s labor glory.
