In 2024, the Research and Production Association for the production of rare metals and hard alloys of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex will implement the investment project “Organization of the production of drill bits and bits.”

To date, the construction and installation works carried out within the framework of this project have already been completed. In 2023, 100.0 thousand US Dollars were disbursed. Also, as part of the project, 10 pieces of process equipment were purchased and put into operation for a total amount of US$4.7 million.

As a result of the implementation of this project, the production of new types of products will be established, which will be aimed at meeting the needs of the AMMC and the domestic market. It is worth noting that the annual increase in production will amount to 2.6 billion UZS. Drill bits and bits are mainly used in open and closed mining.

Currently, the association's specialists have begun to receive the first products. At the same time, work is underway to develop the production of drill bits with a diameter of 76 mm and 110 mm. It is planned to increase the production of these products to 2 thousand units per year.

The main consumers of these products within our country are such large enterprises as “Navoi MMC” JSC, Uzbekkumir JSC (Uzbekcoal), Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

This project will reach full production capacity by the end of 2024.
