The Localization Program is effectively implementing at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

Most notably that in the first quarter of 2024, products worth 406.3 billion UZS produced under 240 projects where the fulfillment of the forecast amount (371.5 billion UZS) in this area amounted to 109.4%. Compared to the same period last year, the growth rate increased 4 times, and the efficiency of import substitution reached 32.6 million US dollars.

Localized products worth 314.1 billion UZS produced under new projects.

In accordance with the Localization Program, in 2024 it is planned to produce products worth 1.5 trillion UZS under 268 projects.

Considering enterprises where the Localization Program is being implemented: the central mechanical repair plant produced products worth 18.5 billion UZS under 102 projects, the scientific and production association for the production of rare metals and hard alloys - 32.2 billion UZS under 21 projects. The copper smelting plant produced products worth 7.0 billion UZS, and the explosive material plant produced products worth 52.7 billion UZS.

Also, as part of the construction of copper concentration plant-3, products worth 196.0 billion UZS were produced, and at 8 mechanical repair sections - products worth 7.7 billion UZS.

During the reporting period, products manufactured under the Localization Program were exported for the amount of 1.2 million US dollars.

Due to industrial cooperation and the “give a helping hand” mechanism, in the first quarter of this year, products worth 166.9 billion UZS were purchased from local manufacturers. The forecast in this area has been fulfilled by 132%.

Successful activity is also underway to develop the production of new types of import-substituting products. Specifically, Almalyk Foundry and Mechanical Plant LLC has started production of more than 40 types of foundry products (300 billion UZS) to develop previously imported products.

Activities in this area will continue in the second quarter and first half of this year. In particular, from April to June it is planned to produce localized products worth 416.9 billion UZS, in the first half of the year – for the amount of 788.5 billion UZS. Including, 53% of the forecast amount (424.6 billion UZS) in this area falls on the production of metal structures of copper concentration plant-3.

In addition, the production of 150 new types of products with a total value of 674.8 billion UZS will be mastered. As a result, the efficiency of import substitution will amount to 62.1 million US dollars.

In addition to that, in June of this year, the production of conveyor rollers will be launched at the Intercon Rollers Joint Venture with a capacity of 15,000 rollers per month, which will fully meet the needs of the complex.

As part of the machine tool production project, the construction work of the Avantec Joint Venture has been completed. Currently, activities for the delivery and installation of equipment are underway.
