The Almalyk MMC JSC is effectively implementing the Localization Program. In particular, in January-August 2023, within its framework, 140 projects with a forecast of 206.6 billion soums produced products worth 239.0 billion soums, or 115.7%, the growth rate by 2022 is 124.2%.

The efficiency of import substitution amounted to $20.8 million.

This year, under the Localization Program, it was planned to implement 137 projects worth 321.7 billion soums.

In April of this year, a new project “Ferromolybdenum” worth 2 billion 818.7 million soums was added to it, thus, the number of projects increased to 138, and the projected cost for the current year amounted to 324.5 billion soums. And in September, the Localization Program increased by another 5 projects worth 911.4 million soums, bringing the total number of projects to 143, the estimated cost of which amounted to 325.4 billion soums.

During the first half of the year, 54 projects of this year produced products worth 66.9 billion soums (forecast - 56.2 billion soums). These are various types of spare parts for special equipment and pumps, slings, metal palladium, molybdenum and tungsten salts, heat-resistant ceramic products. The production of tungsten carbide, refractory bricks, spherical bearings, spare parts for special vehicles, and ferromolybdenum has been mastered.

In addition, a lot of work is being done together with local manufacturers to develop new types of import-substituting products.

Thus, Almalyk Foundry and Mechanical Complex LLC began the development of 40 types of foundry products (spare parts for equipment and special equipment) with an annual production volume of 300 billion soums. The project cost is $25 million. Currently, construction work at the enterprise has been completed, and the installation of equipment is being completed. The enterprise will be launched by the end of September.

In addition, the JV LLC “Deutsche innovationen Technologie AMMC” has established the production of various geocomposite, polymer, fiberglass, pipe and container products with an annual production volume of 100 billion soums. The project cost is $5 million.

Together with the company “Falk Porsche Technik” GmbH (Germany), the 1st stage of the project “Copper wire rod and a new type of cable products” will be launched, the cost of which is $20 million, the capacity is 50,000 tons of copper processing. The production volume is $450 million.

The production of products for the metallurgical complex will also be organized under the project “Polymer concrete baths for the electrolysis of copper cathode.” The cost of this project is $5 million, the production volume is $24 million, and the capacity is 1,500 units of electrolysis baths.

In addition, in cooperation with the ABM company (Germany), production has begun on the project “Digital centers for horizontal turning and milling.” The cost of the project is $2.2 million, production volume is 35 million euros, capacity is 80 sets of digital workshop centers.

Plans are already being made for next year. Thus, in 2024, the Complex plans to begin implementing a number of projects, including “Construction of a new machine-building Complex” worth $500 million. It will ensure the production of serial products and spare parts with a total capacity of 55,000 tons per year.

In cooperation with the company “Fiberpipe” (Germany), it is planned to implement the “Chemical resistant fiberglass products” project worth $10 million, which will ensure the production of previously imported chemical-resistant pipes, storage tanks and other products for the needs of the Complex, as well as the oil, gas and chemical industries.

In collaboration with the company “MENZEL” (Germany), a $15 million project “Production of new types of industrial electric motors” will be implemented, which will ensure the production of previously imported electric motor products for the needs of industrial enterprises of the republic.

It is worth noting that active participants in the localization program at the Complex are such enterprises as the central mechanical repair Complex, the research and production association for the production of rare metals and hard alloys, and the zinc Complex.
