30 August 2024, 15:37 1537

On the eve of the most important national holiday of the Republic of Uzbekistan - independence day, new production and social facilities were put into operation at the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex.

The opening ceremonies of the new facilities were attended by the management of the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex, labour veterans and community leaders. During these events, the management of the plant congratulated all those gathered on the upcoming holiday, expressed warm and sincere wishes, noting that the creative work to improve the well-being and quality of life of the population will continue. The management also awarded a group of builders and designers who actively participated in the construction work.

Thus, on August 29, a new centre for useful spending of leisure time by elderly was opened - the “Nuroniylar maskani” complex, established in the building of hostel No. 2 of the Social facilities department.

The institution has created conditions for meaningful leisure for veterans. Here they can enjoy reading fiction, playing checkers and chess.

Because of the repair work carried out by specialists of the “Olmalikmetallurgqurilish” trust, the facility acquired a new look, the facade of the building was updated, and pavilions were installed in the courtyard of the institution.

30 veterans can spend their free time at the same time in the “Nuroniylar maskani” complex.

In addition, a new digital Transformer substation TP-8, with a voltage of 110/35/6 kV, built within the framework of the investment project "Development of the Yoshlik I deposit" being implemented at the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex, was put into operation. The substation is designed for external power supply of the Yoshlik I quarries, its mining and technical complex and the Kalmakyr mine.

Power supply to this substation is carried out from a permanent double-circuit 110 kV overhead line from 500/110/10 kV Tukket substation. The substation is equipped with modern 80 MVA transformers, low-oil current and 110 kV voltage transformers.

The substation is equipped with relay protection and automation units, emergency systems, an automated control system, and a dispatch system for collecting and transmitting data. During the construction of this substation, metal structures and reinforced concrete products manufactured by domestic manufacturers were used.

On August 30, the grand opening of a new railway depot was held, located on the territory of the Svintsovaya station of the Railway workshop No. 2 of the Industrial railway transport department.

The construction work of the depot, which started in 2021, involved employees of the Olmalikmetallurgkurilish trust and the IRTD. The depot includes a link assembly site, a gas station, a warehouse for fuels and lubricants, and a Wagon repair station. The facility is located on a territory of 4.47 hectares and has a railway track with a length 1,280 m, 7 turnouts, 2 covered buildings and administrative and utility buildings.

The new base has a number of amenities. Previously, there were difficulties with shunting diesel locomotives. This took a lot of time and caused delays in the delivery of process equipment and other goods to the copper processing plant. Now diesel locomotives spend less time, thereby saving fuel.

In addition, the presence of a filling station on the territory of the base, which is necessary for special self-propelled rolling stock and railway cranes, excludes unnecessary time expenditure. In addition, the facility has created conditions for the assembly of railway sleepers.

Thanks to the installation of a gantry crane with a lifting capacity of 50 tons on the territory of the base, it became possible to carry out lifting operations with heavy spare parts and wagon parts. An administrative and household complex has also been built at the base, where all the conditions necessary for workers have been created. There is a canteen, a business trip room, a shower room and a control room.

Because of commissioning the facility, the annual savings will amount to 768 million UZS.
