Localization program: Dump car production established

19 January 2026, 10:42 783

The Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) is consistently implementing systematic work aimed at development of industrial cooperation, organizing the production of import-substituting products, supporting domestic manufacturers, and ensuring the implementation of the Industrial Triangle program.

Specifically, in the course of Industrial Triangle industrial fair dedicated to the localization of imported products from the AMMC, held in Almalyk town on November 19-21, 2024, a trilateral memorandum of cooperation was signed between “Almalyk MMC” JSC, “Almalyk Foundry and Mechanical Plant” LLC, and “Andijan Mechanical Plant” JSC. A corresponding roadmap was also approved.

In accordance with this roadmap, the Andijan Mechanical Plant has now launched production of key dump car components, including bodies and lower and upper frames. Meanwhile, the Almalyk Foundry and Mechanical Plant has established production of all key bogie components.

All necessary certificates have been obtained for the spare parts produced, and technical requirements are fully met. Specialists from the Industrial Rail Transport Department continuously monitor production processes and provide the necessary recommendations and technical reports.

Recently, Rustambek Sanakulov, Director of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex’s Transport and Logistics Department, and Sirojiddin Manazarov, Head of the Industrial Rail Transport Department, visited the Andijan Mechanical Plant, where they inspected the production of dump cars and provided relevant recommendations to the field specialists.

Furthermore, the Complex has completed the production of spare parts for a test model dump car, and assembly work is currently underway. The project envisages the delivery of 196 such dump cars to the Complex.

It is particularly remarkable that, in prior years this type of rolling stock was entirely imported. Currently, dump car production has been established in the republic as part of the Localization Program. Experts estimate that six-axle 2BC-105 (Q-115) dump cars are approximately 1.5 times cheaper than their foreign counterparts.

It should be noted that dump cars are currently the primary means of transport used at the Complex for transportation of rock to copper concentrators.
