Along with the fulfillment of production tasks, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine is effectively implementing the Localization Program.

In particular, as of January-February 2022, in the framework of the 63 projects, localized products were produced for 37.3 billion UZS, with a growth rate of 126.0%. The forecast for the production of localized products was 29.6 billion UZS.

The implementation of the Combine's Localization Program is ensured by three structural divisions of the plant: the central repair and mechanical plant, the research and production association for the production of rare metals and hard alloys, and the zinc plant.

Thus, the Central Repair Mechanical Plant produced products for 14.5 billion UZS during the reporting period. The Research and Production Association for Production of Rare Metals and Hard Alloys produced import-substituting products for 12.8 billion UZS, the Zink Plant – 6.7 billion UZS.

It should be noted that technical zinc sulfate produced under the Program is exported.

In the first quarter of 2022, it is planned to ensure the production of localized products in the amount of 52.7 billion UZS, as well as increase the performance by at least 117%.

The AMMC is working effectively to reduce imports and expand cooperation with domestic producers. In particular, as of January-February this year, 383 contracts were concluded through the cooperation portal for the needs of the industrial production of the AMMC, under which products were purchased for a total of 97.9 billion UZS.

As part of work to reduce the volume of imports, as well as expand interaction (cooperation) with domestic producers, in 2022 it is planned to produce products for 470.5 billion UZS under 45 projects. In January-February of this year, products for 140.2 billion UZS were purchased. According to the results of the first quarter, it is planned to purchase products in the amount of 181.0 billion UZS.

In addition, it is planned to continue active participation in regional and intersectoral industrial fairs in 2022 and bring the total value of cooperation agreements with local manufacturers to 600 billion UZS.

In particular, in pursuance of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 24, 2022 No. 99 “On measures to create an effective system for the development of production and expansion of industrial cooperation in the Republic”, in 2022, the AMMC approved a forecast for the production of localized products for 208.7 billion UZS in within 97 projects. A network schedule has already been developed and approved for these projects.
