AMMC: DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION CONTINUES

01 February 2024, 9:44 971

Today, the word “digitalization” is increasingly heard in many aspects of enterprise activity. After all, increasing production efficiency and its profitability directly depend on the introduction of digitalization into production processes. Read more in the report on the creation of information system for collecting, processing data and analytical reporting at AMMC.

As part of the “Digital Uzbekistan-2030” Strategy, a lot of work is being done in the republic on digitalization, introduction of information and communication technologies, as well as modernization of the infrastructure of the country’s industrial enterprises. Including that at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, where several dozen projects were implemented in 2023 alone.

At the same time, over the past few years, the main work in the field of digitalization in AMMC divisions has been carried out in the direction of improving accounting processes and data consolidation.

Currently, AMMC is focusing on the development of analytics using big data.

In pursuance of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 22, 2022 “On measures to raise the sphere of information and communication technologies to a new level,” the information system for collecting, processing and creating dashboards and analytical reporting was launched.

Today, work has been carried out at AMMC to create panels for interactive display of information, as well as visualization of key business and production indicators, as well as integration of systems and other services.

Dashboards of the enterprise’s work have been implemented in the main areas of the current state of the process and automotive fleet, enterprise personnel management, warehouse balances, analysis of additional and annual applications and an operational daily summary of the plant’s forecast indicators. Thanks to this, it is possible to provide top management and executives with analysis and monitoring of indicators, as well as make operational management decisions, including in production.

As a result, it was possible to reduce 6 types of paper reports, the time of submission and labor costs for collecting and generating reports from 10 to one day.

It is worth noting that the works in this direction have not been completed; in parallel, the development and integration with other information systems and resources are underway to create new dashboards that will create the opportunity to find growth points in business and production processes.

For reference: In 2023, AMMC saved 224 billion UZS as a result of digitalization and optimization of production and business processes.
