+998 71 619 23 33On April 30 of this year, an expanded meeting of the Social and Labor Issues Commission was held at the Central Office of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex. During the meeting, the implementation of the current collective agreement for 2025 was summarized and issues related to the drafting of a new collective agreement for 2026-2028 were discussed in detail.
Key attention was paid to strengthening legal protections for workers in accordance with the requirements of the updated Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as further expanding the scope of social guarantees and benefits.
As a reminder, in January and February of this year, conferences and meetings were held across all divisions of the plant to analyze the implementation of the current collective agreement and discuss the draft of a new document. During these meetings, workforces made their suggestions and comments, which were forwarded to the Social and Labor Issues Committee.
During the discussions, particular emphasis was placed on the principles of openness and engagement. In particular, a broad discussion of the draft collective agreement is planned across all divisions, with the participation of employees, so that each employee can freely express their suggestions. At the same time, special attention is being paid to issues such as improving working conditions, indexing wages, supporting young professionals, and expanding social benefits for industry veterans.
All proposals received will be thoroughly and carefully reviewed by the commission, which will allow the draft collective agreement to be finalized at the highest possible level. To ensure its legal integrity, the document will be submitted for public review to the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan and the Complex Legal Department. This guarantees that each provision fully complies with current legislation and is aimed at protecting the interests of workers.
After completing all approval stages, the finalized draft collective agreement will be submitted for approval to the Complex workforce conference.
This document is expected to provide a solid legal basis for the social partnership between AMMC and its thousands of employees for the next three years, ensuring sustainability, mutual trust, and the company’s continued development.
