Along with its core production activities, Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex actively participates in the support and development of the country’s social infrastructure.
In particular, the Complex builders contribute to the transformation of cities and regions, social and domestic facilities. In particular, the workers of the “Olmalikmetallurgkurilish” complex of enterprises repair the two-storey building of the Culture Center “Chatkal”, located in the makhalla “Fayziobod” of Kiziltog town in Parkent district.
This facility was commissioned in 1958 and has only undergone minor repairs to date.
These works involved 92 workers and 3 units of special equipment. In addition, landscaping of the territory around it and construction of a fountain are planned. The project was prepared by the specialists of the project works department. Plastering of the building facade and repair of the corrugated steel roofing were completed. Decorative and finishing works of the interior of the building are underway. The windows and heating system have been replaced with plastic ones, and economical lighting has been installed. A total of 60% of the work has been completed.
Director of Community Center Alisher Abdukarimov: “This Community Center is of great importance for us. There are 4 makhalla gatherings of citizens in Krasnogorsky settlement, where more than 15 thousand people live. And we all like to have mass events and cultural recreation. Before the renovation works started, the building was still used, training classes for youth were held here, but the condition was not the best and reconstruction was mandatory. Now all the residents are excited to have a cozy corner where they can meet during holidays and celebrations. For this, of course, we are grateful to the country’s leadership and to AMMC.”
Reconstruction work began on April 4 of current year, and it is planned to complete it by the end of August - on the eve of the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of our country’s Independence.
