The 75th anniversary of the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex is an important milestone in the history of the enterprise, which has become a symbol of strength, perseverance and labor. This date united all those who dedicated themselves to the plant and those who continue to work, creating a future for new generations.
On November 1 of this year, a ceremonial event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex was held at the “Metallurg” palace of culture.
It was attended by activists of our country and the Tashkent region, labor veterans, representatives of state and public organizations, the representatives of the AMMC partner companies, the ambassadors of foreign countries, the leading workers in the mining industry, scientists, and representatives of mass media.
At the beginning of the celebration, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov read out a congratulatory message on behalf of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, addressing warm words to the staff of the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex and emphasizing the importance of the plant's contribution to the development of the country.
During the event, the Prime Minister presented the state awards to the employees who distinguished themselves with their work and dedication, in accordance with the Decree of the Head of State "On awarding a group of production leaders in connection with the 75th anniversary of the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex Joint-Stock Company". The awards ceremony was held in a solemn atmosphere, causing well-deserved applause for the leaders.
Also, congratulatory speeches were made by the representatives of the foreign partner organizations and heads of related enterprises of Uzbekistan, who noted the contribution of the AMMC to the development of the country's industry and the maintenance of close international ties.
In addition, on that day, a press tour was organized for media representatives, during which the journalists and bloggers were able to get acquainted with the plant's current investment projects. They were shown key production processes, the plant's capabilities, and were also given the opportunity to talk to the workers and specialists. In the evening, a festive concert was held in the AMMC sports complex, which began with a parade of the plant's athletes. Chairman of the Board of JSC “Almalyk MMC” Abdulla Khursanov sincerely congratulated the team and noted the significance of the anniversary for the entire city. During the concert, distinguished employees were also awarded with "Miner's Glory" badges of various degrees. The audience was delighted by the performances of pop singers, artists of the Tashkent Regional Philharmonic Society and amateur art groups of the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Public festivities
The next day, November 2, the public festivities were held around the “Metallurg” palace of culture and in the “Youth” park in honor of the AMMC anniversary. Various structural divisions of the plant presented exhibitions with models and equipment used in production processes, which attracted the attention and interest of the townspeople and guests of Almalyk.
In addition, in the “Youth” park, the responsible persons of the Sports and physical culture department of the AMMC workers' Trade union council organized sports competitions in which everyone could try their abilities. The competitions included chess, checkers, wrestling, darts, table tennis, boxing, arm wrestling and tug-of-war, providing an opportunity to prove themselves and fight for prizes.
A concert program was held near the “Bolajon” Park with the participation of the famous Uzbek pop artists, the students of the State institute of Arts and culture of Uzbekistan, and the teams of the “Metallurg” palace of culture. The Chairman of the Board of AMMC Abdulla Khursanov once again congratulated all those present and presented valuable prizes to the winners of the chess tournament. He addressed special words of gratitude to the 86-year-old chess player Erkin Kenzhaev, who has become an example for young people, and the young champion of Asia among 8-year-olds Javahir Siddikov, noting that the plant will always support and develop chess as a source of pride for the team and the entire city.
At the end of the event, the winners of the exhibition competition were awarded. In particular, the nomination "Creative Exhibition" was awarded to the work collectives of the trust "Olmalik metallurg qurilish" and the department of specialized repair works.
In the nomination "Our Technology" the following divisions were noted: Copper smelter, Zinc plant, Thermal power plant, Industrial water supply department, Copper concentrator plant-2.
In the nomination "Past and Present" the victory was won by the team of the production automation department.
The staff of the Almalyk branch of the Tashkent State technical university was encouraged for their active participation in the event.
The winners in the nomination "Unique manual labor" were the teams of the Kauldy mine, the Angren mine administration, the Kalmakyr mine administration, the consumer goods production department, and the automobile transport department.
The winner in the nomination "The brightest and most unique stand" was the work team of the central analytical laboratory.
The honorable third place in the competition was taken by the teams of copper processing plants No. 1 and No. 3. The Central Repair and Mechanical Plant was awarded second place. The victory in the competition was won by the work team of the technological transport department. The winner of the Grand Prix was the team of the industrial railway transport department.
