The Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan has published a forecast for the 10 largest taxpayers in Uzbekistan for the current year. This list was headed by Navoi (NMMC) and Almalyk (AMMC) mining and metallurgical plants.
This publication notes that this year about a fifth of state budget revenues in tax revenues are expected to come from NMMC and AMMC. It is also predicted that the share of these two companies in tax revenues will reach 22.9%.
Navoi and Almalyk mining and metallurgical plants will remain the main breadwinners of the budget of Uzbekistan in 2023
It is expected that the revenues of the State budget in 2023 will amount to 232,607 billion soums, or 21.8% of GDP (in 2022, 202,043 billion soums, or 22.7% of GDP).
Budget revenues in 2023 will largely depend on the economic situation at enterprises that are large taxpayers:
JSC Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine (14.8%),
JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (8.1%),
JSC Uzbekneftegaz (1.8%),
JSC Uztransgaz (1.7%),
JSC Khududgaztaminot (1.2%),
JSC UzBat (1.1%),
JSC Uzavtosanoat (0.9%),
LLC Bukhara Oil Refinery,
JV LLC Uz-Kor Gaz Chemical (0.6% each),
JSC Uzmetkombinat (0.4%).
