+998 71 619 23 33The Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex continues to implement projects within the framework of the Digital AMMC-2030 concept. An example of such work is the automation of technological processes at a Copper Concentrator Plant. Moreover, digitalization covered not only the main workshops of the enterprise, but also the pulp pumping station.
Pulp pumping station No. 2A had been operated for 60 years without automatic systems and all parameters of dredgers and the condition of pipelines were monitored on site only manually.
Now the station has moved to a new level. Modern automation systems are installed here, which monitor the temperature of the bearings, the pressure of the pulp and water on the hydraulic seal, as well as the current load of the dredger motor.
All data is gathered and processed by the Fastwel controller, which enables for timely detection of deviations and prevention of malfunctions. To transmit information to the plant, located 3 km away, a radio bridge has been installed — a reliable wireless connection without the need for cables.
The security system has been improved as well: now entry to the station is only available to employees with permission. The territory of the facility is monitored round the clock by a video surveillance system.
Automation is also planned for the dam in the near future. Remote control of the depth and light layer of the product will be organized. This data will also be received in real time.
Pulp pumping station No. 2A is an example of how modern technologies can modernize even the outdated facilities and increase their efficiency and reliability.
