In order to improve energy efficiency, reduce production costs and optimize expenses, an order was issued at Almalyk MMC to collect and implement rationalization proposals among the plant's specialists.

In pursuance of this order, specialists from the Industrial Railway Transport Department (IRTD) developed a "Roadmap of Inventions" based on modern knowledge and ideas, under the motto: "New Heights in New Uzbekistan!"

In the shortest possible time, the work done yielded tangible results. Thus, on November 15, 2024, the six IRTD specialists were awarded letters of gratitude and cash prizes based on the results of the competition for the best proposal for energy saving. It is especially gratifying that the implementation of these initiatives in practice can yield the expected economic effect – about 22 billion UZS per year, which indicates the significance and effectiveness of the proposals.

IRTD also established work on mandatory certification of manufactured products in cooperation with specialists from the standardization and certification department of the central office of AMMC.

According to the order of the Deputy Chairman of the Board – Chief Engineer of Almalyk MMC, as well as the instructions of the Financial Risk and Covenant Management Department, the scientific and practical invention section was created on the basis of the IRTD in a pilot format.

On June 5 of this year, a presentation of the activities of this section was held. The Acting Chief Engineer of AMMC Sergey Larionov, the responsible persons and specialists of the structural divisions of the plant took part in this event,

The purpose of creating the section is to develop technical creativity and contribute to the development of the plant. It is located in the railway shop No. 3 of the IRTD and is designed to test and implement inventions in the production process. The section is equipped with modern equipment and currently employs 10 specialists with high creative potential. In the future, it is planned to create 10 more new jobs.

Despite the short period since the opening, the section has already demonstrated real results: it was possible to localize 8 types of spare parts for rolling stock, previously purchased abroad. Moreover, this was implemented exclusively through internal resources, without additional costs. The expected annual economic effect from the localization of these spare parts exceeds 3.5 billion UZS. Such successes were achieved thanks to the systematic work of the IRTD management, competent organization of processes and, of course, the professionalism and coordinated work of the work collective.
