+998 71 619 23 33From October 28 to November 8, 2024, the Almalyk branch of NUST " MISiS " held training sessions on the "Introductory course on the use of the software " Datamine Studio OP" in the discipline "Information technology in mining".
The classes were organized in order to implement the agreement between this higher educational institution and JSC Almalyk MMC, as well as to fulfill the academic load of the 2024-2025 academic year of the sixth year in the field of education "Mining".
The course was attended by sixth-year students majoring in open-pit mining (OPM), the corresponding specialists of the Kalmakyr mine administration , and the classes were conducted by Ashot Akopyan, an associate professor of the Department of geology and mining, who was sent from the main university.
For reference: " Datamine Studio OP" is a modern software for designing and planning open-pit mining operations and is considered (in terms of its functionality) one of the best mining and geological information systems (MGIS) among the corresponding world-class software products.
Considering the fact that JSC Almalyk MMC is beginning to use this software as one of the main tools for designing and planning open-pit mining operations, therefore, organizing this course for sixth-year students was relevant, in demand and important.
At the same time, specialists of JSC Almalyk MMC who took part in the course received certain skills that will be applied directly in production activities.
Upon completion of the course, all 13 sixth-year students were awarded certificates of completion of the “Introductory Course on Datamine Studio OP Software”.
