On February 27 of this year, a meeting was held at the Almalyk branch of NRTU “MISiS” with the participation of the head of the AMMC information technology department A. Rozikulov, the head of the production automation department V. Irismetov, the deputy director of the copper concentrator J. Ibragimov, the head of the department B. Temerbekova, as well as 3rd-4th year students studying in the field of information technology and automation.

The meeting was organized with the aim of supporting the development of students’ potential, improving the quality of industrial practice within the framework of dual education, and strengthening cooperation between the higher educational institution and the complex. A number of students’ proposals were considered during the event.

Particular attention was paid to student initiatives, such as the implementation of digital twins, cloud computing and predictive maintenance of equipment. All proposals were discussed, recommendations were given and ways of their implementation were proposed.

Separately, promising projects related to the use of artificial intelligence and digitalization of production processes were considered. Among them, video surveillance systems, solutions for environmental monitoring using artificial intelligence, as well as innovative technologies for managing technological processes stand out.

Following the meeting, key areas of work for the future were identified. In particular, tasks were formulated to align the educational process with the needs of production, which will give students the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience and improve their preparation for real industrial tasks.
