The employees of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex unitedly and actively took part in the nationwide khashar, which was held throughout Uzbekistan under the motto "A well-maintained mahalla is a well-maintained country".
In particular, the plant's employees carried out landscaping work on a territory with a total area of 121 hectares. 184.3 tons of waste were removed, 8,273 trees were whitewashed and trimmed, 6,360 linear meters of trays and ditches were cleared. Four cemeteries were landscaped, 95 streets and 29 playgrounds were cleaned. 72 units of special equipment were involved in the hashar.
Hashar is one of the ancient and unchanging traditions of our people. Its essence is a combination of prosperity, kindness and solidarity, and therefore hashar is not only a joint public work to restore order, but also combines help and support for those in need. Remaining true to this tradition, today the workers of the plant provided charitable assistance to people in need of social protection. The garden plots of 25 households were dug up. Financial assistance was provided to 49 needy families, 7 people with disabilities and lonely elderly people.
