Today, in the central analytical laboratory of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, the final stage of the professional skills competition "The Best Young Chemist-2023" was held.
It was attended by young specialists from the structural divisions of JSC Almalyk MMC, who work in the chemical industry.
The purpose of the competition is to strengthen knowledge, form industry skills, develop professional skills, as well as identify talented youth of the plant.
The competition, organized on the initiative of the Council of the Youth Union of AMMC together with the technical department, was held in three stages.
The first and second stages were held in the training center of the plant, in which the contestants demonstrated their theoretical knowledge. Participants answered 20 test questions for a certain time, for which 2.1 points were awarded. Then they solved 5 chemical problems each. For each correct solution, the participants received 6.6 points.
The third stage took place in the central analytical laboratory. In the practical part of the competition, the participants had to determine the concentration of copper in the solution by titrimetric analysis. A maximum of 25 points were awarded for this task.
Based on the results of all stages, the jury determined the names of three winners. The third place was taken by Nargiza Omonova, an employee of the central analytical laboratory. Akhror Yuldoshev, an employee of the explosive materials plant, won the second place. Another representative of the central analytical laboratory, Umidjon Ayupov, was recognized as the best young chemist-2023.
All three participants were awarded diplomas and cash prizes from the Union of Youth and the Council of the Trade Union of AMMC Workers.
In addition, the winner received the right to improve his qualifications in the service of the chief chemist of JSC Almalyk MMC within one month. And the holders of the second and third places for the same purpose will be assigned to the chief engineers of their structural divisions for a similar time.
