On March 18 of this year, the members of the Uzbekistan national cycling team and the Tashkent city professional cycling teams took part in the Asian Cycling Championships held in Delhi (India) and the World Cup in Hong Kong (China).
Our athletes completed the Asian Championships with 6 medals: 4 silver and 2 bronze. It is gratifying that Olga Zabelinskaya and Nafosat Kuzieva have won silver in the women's group race "Madison". This brought our team 1,080 rating points to obtain the license for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.
Based on the results of two stages of the World Cup in Hong Kong in the Madison race, our team scored 1,488 points and took seventh place among 22 countries. It is worth especially noting that this result became historic for Uzbek track cycling. According to the results of the second stage of the World Cup, our team won 1,568 points. The third stage of the World Cup will take place in April in Milton (Canada).
According to the current results, in the overall standings, the women's team "Tashkent City Track Team" with 4,165 points ranks third in the International Cycling Union (UCI) ranking for the team event of the Madison track cycling race.
Our team has already won 4 important licenses, giving the opportunity to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris.
