In recent years, the issue of reducing the volume of imports, localization of imported components and spare parts have become one of the main production tasks.
In the Industrial Rail Transport Department, the works on development and manufacture of new types of components and spare parts within the framework of import substitution have been raised to a new, higher level. For example, this year, the wagon service of the Industrial Rail Transport Department had developed and manufactured three lower and one upper frame for 2VS-105 dump cars, as well as fifty side (longitudinal) walls for them. They were mounted during the repair process. The manufacture of thirty-six lower frames and eight bodies is planned for 2025, which, according to forecasts, will amount to savings of more than two and half million US Dollars.
In parallel with this, the active work continues at the power repair section of Railway Shop-3 on major repairs of traction unit electric motors, which was not performed here before. In 2024, thirty-eight electric motors were repaired, which affected the extension of their service life and the provision of technological lines with the required number of traction units.
In 2025, the major overhaul of about one hundred electric motors is planned, due to which savings of 2.9 million USD are predicted.
To implement this task, seven additional full-time workers have been introduced into the staff schedule of the Industrial Rail Transport Department – four insulators, three winders of electric machine elements.
There are big plans ahead, which, I think, will definitely come true!
