From 9 to 15 July this year, the chairpersons of the Advisory Councils on Women and Gender Equality of the Ministry of Mining and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the subordinated enterprises, including JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex” and JSC “Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Complex”, participated in the practical training program to exchange experiences held in Prague, Czech Republic.

As part of the international program, the Uzbek delegation studied the advanced European practices in creating safe and comfortable working conditions for women in the mining and metallurgical industries. Particular attention was paid to improving the professional skills of women working in production, preparing them for leadership positions, developing female entrepreneurship, and expanding financial inclusion. Participants also learned about modern approaches to creating a favorable work environment and raising the level of women's legal awareness.

During the visit, the delegation also visited the European Parliament Information Office in Prague, where they received detailed information on the history of the European Union, its institutional system, key areas of activity, mechanisms for interaction between Member States, economic and political integration processes, and the principles of democratic governance.

The participation of the representatives of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex in this prestigious international program further confirmed the consistent implementation of reforms in New Uzbekistan aimed at developing human capital and ensuring gender equality. Upon completion of the training, all participants received international certificates.

The modern knowledge, practical skills, and experience gained during meetings and professional discussions in Prague, acquired during the program, will be implemented in the operations of enterprises under the Ministry of Mining and Geology, JSC “Almalyk MMC”, and JSC “Navoi MMC”.

Such international initiatives contribute to the further development of the professional potential and social engagement of thousands of women working in the industry, opening up new opportunities for professional and personal growth.
