New substation is on final stage

22 July 2022, 8:29 1447

Presently it was being carried out wide range of activities on further activation of the investment policy aimed at the modernization and organization of high-tech productions that ensure the deep processing of local raw materials and the production of finished products with high added value. In particular, the investment program implemented by the complex on the basis of the President's decision on measures to expand the production capacity of "Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex" JSC on the basis of the "Yoshlik" mine is directed to these goals. Also, in the investment program of our country for 2020-2022, special emphasis is placed on this project.

Electricity supply of “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex” JSC and the city of Almalyk is carried out through three main substations from Tashkent, Yangi Angren and Syrdaryo Power Station power systems of Uzbekenergo JSC: Kara-kiya-soy voltage 220/110/35/6 kWh from two 200,000 kVA transformers, "Adolat" substation with two 220/110/35/6 kWh voltage 200,000 kWh transformers and "5-Tyagovaya" from two 110/35/6 kWh voltage 25,000 kWh transformers.

The power supply scheme is implemented in such a way that all units of the complex have double supply with 110, 35, 6 kWh lines. In addition, more than 800 kilometers of overhead power lines with a voltage of 110, 35, 6 kWh, 10 kWh included in the power supply scheme. The Department of Electric Networks, which serves more than 400 kilometers of cable lines, is on the verge of commissioning the new "Technological" substation. Regarding the power of this substation, the purpose of its creation and a number of other issues, acting head of electricity organization Shuhrat TOJIYEV gives the following information.

- This new substation is being built in order to supply new mines and 3rd Copper Enrichment Factory with electricity as part of the development project of the "Yoshlik I" mine implemented by the complex. Commissioning of the "Process" substation, which reduces the tension, will serve to connect the production capacities of the "Yoshlik I" mine to the electric grid and partially relieve the capacities of the substations used by the complex. The digital PS 500/110/10 kWh substation will have a SCADA control system. In the construction of the digital substation, it is envisaged to have two groups of single-phase autotransformers with a voltage of 500 kWh and a capacity of 650 mWh and a spare phase. In addition, the new facility will provide access and exit to the Yoshlik I mine substation of the Syrdaryo Power station-New Angren Power station.

JSC "Uzelektroapparat-Electroshield" was involved in the implementation of the new substation construction project, and it undertook the turnkey delivery of the facility. Contracts were concluded within the framework of the project for the delivery of the main electrical equipment. To date, autotransformers of the Spanish company "Faramax" have been purchased and installed. Multi-processor relay protection devices manufactured by the German company "Siemens" were also purchased. Another important aspect is the installation of the SCADA software-hardware complex in order to collect all the data and carry out dispatch control.

It should be noted here that voltage transformers of "Faramax" company and secondary control units of "Siemens" company and microprocessor techniques are among the most advanced and time-tested electrical equipment in the energy system.

To date, construction and assembly works have been completed at the site of ORU-500 kWh and reactive power sources. In addition to the installation of reinforced concrete foundations in ORU-110 kWh of the Nimstation, metal portal constructions are being installed on them. The restoration of the pillars of overhead power lines with a voltage of 500 kWh is in full swing.

More than 100 employees of the contracting organization, special construction vehicles and mobile lifting mechanisms were involved in the construction of the "Technological" 500/110/10 kWh substation. According to the plan, the commissioning, adjustment and commissioning of the facility is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2023. However, the pace of work being carried out at the facility shows that the tasks will be completed much earlier and that Electricity organization will accept the new substation for use by the end of the current reporting year.

P.S. Commissioning of this substation will also improve the quality of electricity. Because these indicators have a positive effect on the consumption of electricity, the reliability of the electricity supply system, and the production process of the enterprise, as well as the fact that the technical and economic issues of improving the quality of electricity are also a factor in rationally finding their solution.
