Currently, the transition to "green" economy is underway at AMMC. The projects are being implemented to install solar panels to provide alternative electricity to the plant's facilities.
On May 3 of this year, another photovoltaic power plant was commissioned at the zinc plant, which will provide electricity to the electrolytic workshop and household building No. 1.
The opening ceremony was attended by Uzeyir Ablaev, the Chief Power Engineer of “Almalyk MMC” JSC, the specialists of the zinc plant's energy service and other responsible persons.
It is worth noting that 364 photovoltaic panels are installed at this station, with the total capacity of 200 kW/hour.
Solar energy is a promising direction in the development of alternative energy sources. Technology has advanced so much that modern batteries are able to cover the electricity needs of buildings even in those latitudes where the number of clear days is very limited.
The effect of the green economy, which is being implemented at AMMC today, will partially meet the company's demand for electricity and will allow adapting production processes to international standards.
For information: 3 solar photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 500 kW/hour have been built at the zinc plant. Their annual production capacity is about 800 thousand kW. This allows to significantly reduce the purchase of electricity and reduce the cost of production.
