Collecting corn leafs for feed reserve

17 August 2022, 13:30 1829

During the year, the departments of the Department of Consumer Goods, which are busy providing milk and dairy products to the employees of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, are working in full swing. Harvesting processes are currently being carried out in the fields in order to prepare reserve fodder for the dairy farm cattle for the winter season.

Feed for 924 head of cattle on the farm is continuously supplied without interruptions by the employees of the agricultural plot. The collection of stock fodder, which started in August, is nearing completion.

In addition, a team of 30 people was involved in the collection work of this brigade, and the stock feed expected to be collected at the end of August is of high quality.

About 70 percent of the work carried out by 6 brigades in the fields for food stock has been completed. 5,180 tons of corns were planned, and the workers harvested more than 3,000 tons with the help of 10 trailer tractors and 2 complex harvesters these days.

As a result of timely agrotechnical processing, high yield is expected from corn silage planted on 165 hectares of land.

For example, last year, farmers of the complex planted "Agromarketing banduel" seeds and obtained an average yield of 16-21 tons. On average, 46 tons per hectare were harvested, and some fields yielded 51-52 tons.

It should be noted that not only maize silage but also alfalfa plant is grown as a feed stock for cattle. The administration plans to transfer cattle to 1 different type of feed base for the coming years. The high-quality supply of milk and milk products necessary for the workers of the complex with the efforts of the workers of Consumption Materials Production Department ensures productivity in labor processes as well.
