+998 71 619 23 33The well-known Tuyabogiz (Tashkent Sea) reservoir has an area of 20 square kilometers. Its total volume is 250 million cubic meters, its useful volume is 224 million cubic meters, and the average depth of the reservoir is 12.5 meters. It is natural for you to wonder what the “Yoshlik I” mine has to do with the “Tashkent Sea”. Don’t worry, it has. The mine, whose construction started in 2017, has so far excavated 223.0 million m3 of surface. The scale of this work is equal to the volume of the Tashkent Sea. Of course, there may be deviations in these calculations, but over the course of 8 years, we will witness the completion of work at the mine equivalent to the volume of a large reservoir.
The investment project "Development of the "Yoshlik I" mine" is being implemented in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No PQ-2807 dated March 1, 2017 "On measures to expand the production capacity of "Almalyk MMC" JSC on the basis of the "Yoshlik I" mine".
As part of the project, intensive work is currently underway in the "Northwest Balikti" and "Barakali" quarries of the "Yoshlik I" mine.
- According to Eldorbek Sobirov, the leading mining engineer of the "Yoshlik I" Directorate, today capital mining and overburden development are underway in horizons 770-580 of the "Yoshlik I" mine. Since the start of the mine development, 223.0 million m3 of surface mining has been completed. It is no exaggeration to say that behind these numbers lies a lot of hard work. If we consider the example of a BelAZ dump truck with a lifting capacity of 220 tons, which transports an average of 75 cubic meters of rock per trip, then (223,000,000:75=2,973,333) it has already transported 2,973,333 times.
- The work is organized in two shifts. In 2024, 5 NMT-240 dump trucks manufactured by "NURAFSHON-MAXSUS-TECHNIKA" LLC were imported under the localization program. These giant trucks are providing high efficiency in transporting rock in the mine.
The mine is 4.0 km long, 2.3 km wide, and 235 meters deep. 41.7 km of railways have been laid and electrified. To date, 400 pieces of equipment are operating at the mine. Main conveyors with a length of 4.2 km have been prepared to transport the ore to the factory's raw material warehouse. One of the unique features of this conveyor line is that it passes over a 44-meter-high bridge, due to the terrain. The speed of ore transportation on the conveyor line is 4 meters per second. The introduction of a conveyor system will reduce the cost of ore transportation by at least 30 percent.
The TP-8 substation, which supplies electricity to the mining and waste rock transportation cyclic flow technology equipment, has been commissioned. Currently, construction work is underway on the TP-9 110 kV substation for railway transport.
This project is one of the largest investment projects in the history of Uzbekistan. As a result of its implementation, the production capacity of the plant is expected to increase several times.
For information: The “Yoshlik-I” mine was recognized as the largest deposit in the world in terms of gold content in the ore. The plant’s reserves are ranked 1st in terms of gold content in the ore, the ore in copper deposits ranks 2nd in terms of average gold content, 3rd in terms of ore volume, and 6th in terms of copper content.
