Modernization not only enhances labor productivity but also reduces energy consumption and optimizes production costs.
The Central Repair and Mechanical Plant – the main executor of the localization program within the complex – has for many years successfully fulfilled complex and responsible tasks such as restoring intricate mechanical parts, precision metalworking, and conducting full-scale repairs of plant and factory equipment. Today, the enterprise is advancing in line with modern industrial standards and entering a new phase of technical renewal. In recent years, the plant has been equipped with machinery that meets international standards. One notable example is the commissioning of a new 5-axis milling unit in the Toolmaking and Heat Treatment section of the Mechanical Assembly Shop.
According to Muhammad Dadaboyev, CNC Machine Operator at CRMP, the “Avantek ML800” milling machine stands out for its high precision and advanced functionality. The equipment features a powerful spindle capable of operating at 12,000 RPM, with X, Y, and Z axis travel distances of 800 mm, 685 mm, and 630 mm respectively. The machine table supports loads of up to 320 kg, with a rapid traverse speed of 60 meters per minute. It is operated using the Sinumerik 840D SL control system and includes a 40-tool magazine, ensuring continuous operation and significant time savings.
In addition, a special-purpose milling machine has also been installed in the Shut-off Valves Repair Section of the Mechanical Assembly Shop, significantly increasing operational efficiency.
According to Aziz Sarkaboyev, head of the section, repair and manufacturing of shut-off valves previously required several separate processes using drilling, milling and lathe-carousel machines. Now, all three stages can be completed using a single new unit, reducing both time and energy consumption. The special milling machine has a load capacity of up to 2,000 kg, and with its commissioning, output increased from 100 units to 130-140 units. This has been boosted labor productivity and created opportunities to further improve product quality.
