Large manufacturing enterprises are widely introducing resource-saving technologies in their activities and seeking to reduce the negative impact on the environment. Effective initiatives in this direction are also being consistently implemented at AMMC.
In particular, 8 solar photovoltaic power plants with total capacity of 805 kW were commissioned at the Central Repair and Mechanical Plant.
In particular, solar panels with capacity of 40 kW were installed in the Mechanical Assembly Shop, 50 kW in the Shut-off Valve Repair Section, 85 kW in the Template Warehouse, 115 kW in the Casting Processing, Model Making and Chemical Protection Sections, 145 kW in the Welding and Coating Department, and 255 kW in the Repair Shop for Vehicles and Special Equipment.
In addition, 5 solar collectors with capacity of 200 liters were installed to provide hot water in the repair shop for vehicles and special equipment.
According to the Acting Chief Power Engineer of the plant, Tohir Qodirqulov, along with the commissioning of new equipment, a modern management program was also introduced at the plant, which allows automatic control of the generated electricity. Through this platform, production volumes can be monitored online in hourly, daily, monthly and annual intervals. Importantly, the system can also determine the level of contamination of solar panels. Therefore, special brigades have been formed in the workshops and sections, and the panels are regularly washed and cleaned every week.
Another important aspect is that in the past seven months of this year, 534 thousand kWh of electricity and 9.6 Gcal of hot water were produced at the Central Repair and Mechanical Plant due to solar panels. This indicator significantly increased the energy independence of the enterprise and was undoubtedly a bold step towards environmentally friendly production.
Also, as a result of measures taken at the plant to save energy resources, 236 Gcal of thermal energy, 426.30 thousand cubic meters of natural gas, and 1,606.20 thousand kW of electricity were saved during the seven months of this year. In short, the transition to "Green Energy" is being effectively implemented at the plant.
