The national conference and media forum on this topic were held on July 26-27 this year in the “Oltin Olma” boarding house, located in the Bostanlyk district.
These events, organized by the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the information service of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, were attended by the heads of information services of state bodies and organizations, as well as local khokimiyats.
The event was opened by the press secretary of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov, the director of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Asadjon Khodjaev, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Makhmudjon Parpiev, and the chairman of the board of JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex Abdulla Khursanov.
In his speech, Sherzod Asadov focused on the duties and responsibilities of press secretaries in the period of globalization, active reforms and prospective development: the head of the information service must have sufficient knowledge and experience in his field, be a bridge between the state and the people, promptly and efficiently inform the population, based on the principles of openness and transparency.
Director of the AIMC A. Khodjaev, using various cases as an example, spoke about media reforms, modern technological solutions that should be integrated into the work of press secretaries.
Makhmudjon Parpiev focused on the issues of compliance with the law in ensuring freedom of speech.
Chairman of the Board of JSC “Almalyk MMC”, Senator Abdulla Khursanov noted the reforms carried out in our country to ensure freedom of speech. He also emphasized the important role of the media in the development of these reforms.
The media forum included panel sessions on topics such as “Mechanisms for the work of information services, issues of interaction with the media in creating high-quality media content”, “Information services – 2030. Possibilities of artificial intelligence and modern trends”.
Aspects that require special attention when working with information services and media representatives were also explained in detail during the panel sessions. In addition, the importance of multilateral cooperation in preparing high-quality content for social networks was discussed.
On the first day, the media forum also held a media quiz teambuilding with the participation of heads of information services. Participants, divided into teams, tested their knowledge of the history of the media, legislation and modern media trends.
On the second day, media forum participants took part in the “AIMC Spartakiad”, which included such sports as table tennis, checkers and volleyball. Winners of the intellectual game and sports competitions were awarded certificates and valuable prizes.
