On March 4, 2024, a meeting was held at the Metallurg Palace of Culture dedicated to the results of work in the field of labor protection and industrial safety at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) in 2024, as well as tasks for the current year. Special attention was paid to measures to prevent occupational diseases.

The event was attended by the Acting Deputy Chairman of the Board of Almalyk MMC JSC - Chief Engineer of AMMC S. Larionov, representatives of the Almalyk Mining and Technical Inspection, heads of structural divisions, persons responsible for labor protection and safety, chairmen of trade union committees and industry specialists.

The report was made by the Head of the Department of Labor Protection and Industrial Safety of AMMC Shukhrat Juraev, who spoke about the work done in 2024, planned activities for 2025 and measures to prevent occupational diseases. In his speech, he dwelt in detail on the state of labor protection, preventive work carried out, as well as the causes leading to accidents. Particular emphasis was placed on the tasks facing the team in 2025.

It was noted that the plant is systematically working to ensure safe working conditions: workers are provided with personal protective equipment, medical preventive examinations are carried out, advanced training and retraining of specialists in the field of industrial safety is organized. Strict control over compliance with labor protection standards in the workplace and in production processes is also carried out.

The meeting analyzed the causes of the accidents that occurred. It was emphasized that most incidents were related to non-compliance with labor protection rules and personal carelessness of the victims.

During the discussion, the responsible persons presented reports on accidents that occurred in structural divisions, as well as on the measures taken to prevent them in the future. The issues of preventing occupational diseases, identified shortcomings in the labor protection system and ways to eliminate them were considered.

In addition, reports were heard on the state of industrial safety at production sites, the quality of medical examinations of workers and additional measures to prevent occupational diseases.
