+998 71 619 23 33On 27 January 2025, a reporting meeting of the Advisory council on women problems and gender equality was held at Almalyk MMC. During the event, the results of work for 2024 were summed up and tasks for 2025 were discussed.
The meeting was opened by the Chairwoman of the Advisory Council Feruza Khamidova, who presented an analysis of the work done. During the meeting, the issues of executive discipline were also considered, the activities of the chairmen of councils in structural divisions were assessed and the identified shortcomings were discussed.
The Deputy Chairwoman of the Council K. Umaralieva presented a report on the work done. According to her, 7,555 women currently work at the Complex, of which 1,070 hold positions of responsibility, and 309 are involved in the management sphere.
The Complex maintains a statistical record of the balance of women and their social situation. At the expense of the plant, 67 employees are currently studying in higher educational institutions of our country, 19 of whom are women. In 2024, 221.7 million UZS were allocated to pay for their contracts. For the 2024-2025 academic year, 18 female employees were given recommendations for admission to higher educational institutions.
For their achievements in work, according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, several women of the AMMC were awarded state awards. Thus, the employee of the zinc plant's Waelz shop, Sayora Kuchkorova, was awarded the "Shukhrat" (Glory) medal, and the duty officer of the Industrial Railway Transport Department’s on-duty station, Shokhida Mamadalieva, was awarded the "Mutabar Ayol" (Esteemed Woman) badge. In honor of the 75th anniversary of AMMC, four more women received state awards.
Nargiza Atakulova, lead engineer of the Yoshlik I mine, PhD in chemical engineering, won the republican competition of scientific projects "Women Scientists". She received a grant of 559 million UZS.
As part of the initiatives of the Family and Women's Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the “Kombinat Guzallari” team was awarded in the nomination "The Most Creative Team" at the national festival "Gimnastrada". In addition, a healthy lifestyle is actively promoted among the women of the plant: throughout the year, sports events were held under the mottos "Love sports, live sports" and "Sport is the key to health".
The Council also organized thematic meetings and events aimed at preventing crime among women, strengthening family values and raising the spiritual and moral level. During the year, events were held within the framework of the projects “100 Matonatli Ayol”, “Healthy Ideology – the Foundation of a Prosperous Society”, “My Happy Family”, “Enlightened Women – the Support of the Family and Society”, “Mothers – for a Green Life!”, “One Book from Each Employee”, “Month of National Values”, “Proud of My Child”, etc.
To support families in need, the social project "We are together!" is being implemented. On the eve of each holiday, care is provided for women of the enterprise who need social protection. In honor of the 33rd anniversary of the country's independence, 100 low-income families were presented with holiday gifts, and another 100 women were given the opportunity to visit the capital's attractions and the “Victory Park” memorial complex.
Over the past year, the cultural events were organized jointly with the State Institute of Arts and Culture, the State Philharmonic Society and museums of the republic, in which more than 2,000 women took part.
Also, a special Telegram channel was created under the Council, where women can ask questions and receive prompt assistance. In September 2024, the enterprise's employees actively participated in the republican campaign "Honatlas Week", and in October they held a "Week of Respect for Teachers" in honor of Teacher's and Mentor's Day.
In November and December last year, the Council initiated the campaign “Mothers for Children’s Safety!”, during which volunteers helped schoolchildren cross the streets safely during peak hours. More than 500 children were accompanied across pedestrian crossings, and the volunteer group included 116 women from the plant.
On December 1 (World AIDS Day), the plant held the campaign “Every life is priceless – don’t risk your happiness!”. The workers were given 1,000 leaflets on HIV prevention.
For the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3), a festive event was held for 200 workers with disabilities at the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture, which ended with the presentation of gifts. The winner of the nomination “The Most Steadfast Woman of the Year” was the seamstress of the Consumer Goods Production Department Dilrabo Polvonova.
On New Year’s Eve, the plant held the campaign “Let’s Celebrate the New Year Together!”, during which 100 needy families received financial assistance.
During 2024, the council organized about 70 events, which were attended by almost 5,000 women.
The meeting discussed ways to improve the efficiency of the Council and its structural divisions. The plan of events for 2025 was approved and the most active chairmen were awarded letters of gratitude.
