With all my heart I congratulate the workers of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex and residents of Almalyk town with the holiday of spring, renewal, kindness and mercy!
For centuries, Navruz has been celebrated as the beginning of a new year in nature. Nowadays, in the hospitable and generous land of Uzbekistan, it has rightfully become a national and everyone’s favorite holiday of the multi-ethnic state. Moreover, the harsh winter and the difficulties associated with it made the arrival of spring particularly welcome.
Our present in many ways echoes the main traditions and customs of the ancient holiday, the distinctive features of which were and are mercy, charity, kindness, generosity, the desire to help others and hard work, aimed at further improving the well-being of the people.
We, the workers of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, do not deviate from the will of our ancestors, working each and every day in the name of building the New Uzbekistan, strengthening its economic power, expanding the prospects for its future prosperity and laying the foundation for the well-being of its future generations.
The Complex is working on the construction of large-scale facilities for ore mining at Yoshlik I deposit, its processing and production of copper products, which will ensure a stronger position of the Complex in international markets and expand the geography of exports.
At the same time, modernization, technical and technological re-equipment of production is being carried out, automation is being introduced almost everywhere, and the “Digital AMMC” program is being implemented, keeping pace with today’s environment and requirements.
On the eve of Navruz, the workforce of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex carried out large-scale landscaping work in industrial areas, assigned streets and mahallas of the town. By beautifying and dressing our land where we live in green, we make life more prosperous and beautiful. It is important not only to plant, but also to preserve the seedlings, save them and help them grow into mighty trees. All citizens are encouraged to participate - do not be indifferent to your surroundings!
In the days of Navruz, as all the people of Uzbekistan, we do good deeds, organizing charity events in social institutions, where the workers of our workshops and divisions come with gifts, and during the year we provide the necessary assistance in economic matters, not leaving without attention veterans of war and labor, disabled soldiers-internationalists and Chernobyl victims.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that Navruz is met with an open heart, that in these days all resentments and quarrels are forgotten, that everyone strives to share the joy of this day with others.
Therefore, I urge everyone to visit their relatives, loved ones, the elderly, to pay attention to the neighbors who need your help, not to leave without attention former colleagues, war veterans, veterans of the labor front, veterans of labor.
Our older generation are the people who laid the foundation for our well-being, and we owe them a debt of gratitude. This should always be remembered as we continue the traditions that come from the depths of time. This applies, first and foremost, to young people, who must continue on the path of further reviving the heritage of our ancestors and strengthening what has been achieved.
In September 2009, Navruz was included in the UNESCO representative list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity, and in February 2010, the 64th session of the UN General Assembly declared March 21 as the International Day of Navruz, emphasizing the importance of the event and recognizing its customs and traditions based on kindness, mercy, tolerance.
Peace and friendship, harmony and understanding have always distinguished the Uzbek people, and we understand how valuable these qualities are, allowing our multi-ethnic state to live under a clear sky, celebrating the national holidays together and working for the prosperity of our lives.
Let Navruz become for us a holiday of desires fulfillment and bring us all happiness, good luck and love!
May all our dreams come true! Happy Navruz holiday!

Chairman of the Board of JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex,
